The document proving I was me required another document proving I was me.
I brought the original. They required a copy. I brought a copy. They required it to be certified by somebody who had seen the original.
By the third visit, the clerk recognised me. This did not count as identification.
The rejection
Your application cannot be processed.
The supporting evidence provided does not meet our requirements. Please resubmit with acceptable proof of identity.
This decision is final until further documentation is received.
